| Scholarships or student grants program description |
This 3 year non-clinical PhD studentship allows talented medical students to complete a PhD in cardiovascular science before completion of their medical degree.
Award may include:
* Student stipend at current BHF rates.
* Tuition fees at standard home student rate (set by the research institution).
* Research consumables, directly attributable to the project, usually less than £10,000 per year
Academic Criteria: Applicants musy have been awarded or expect a 1st class or high upper 2nd class BSc degree, or MSc with Merit or Distinction.
This studentship is proposed to allow talented medical students to complete a PhD in cardiovascular science before completion of their medical degree; restricted to UK institutions that have recognised MBPhD programmes. Pre-selection of the student by the university’s MBPhD programme directorate is required.
