Scholarships or student grants program description
Who Is Eligible: Annually, NABJ awards more than $60,000 in scholarships to deserving students interested in pursuing careers in journalism. Scholarships are worth up to $25,000. Scholarships are open to any foreign or American born student, currently attending or entering an accredited four-year college/university in the U.S. or those who are candidates for graduate school. All applicants must be a student member of NABJ. All applicants must be a journalism major or pursuing a career in journalism. Requirements: All applicants MUST send FOUR complete packets which include application form, resume, essays, transcripts, and work samples for each packet. All applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and have at least one year of school remaining. Awards will be granted for the 2009-2010 school year. Previous NABJ scholarship winners are not eligible to reapply. Some awards include additional requirements. See individual award descriptions. Deadline: 03/17/2010 Based off last year's deadline Amount: Up to $25,000 (depending upon scholarship)
