The Slippery University Special Education Department is dedicated to the professional development of pre-service and in-service teachers, administrators, and related professionals in the field of Special Education. Our specialized programs, both on-campus and web-based, are centered on research-based classroom experiences and extensive field work in self-contained and inclusive settings, schools and agency settings.
We believe that collaboration, service, professionalism, and leadership, combined with a strong knowledge base, are key components in the development of model professionals who are dedicated to individuals with exceptionalities throughout their lifespan.
