| Scholarships or student grants program description |
Sheffield Hallam University is offering bursaries of £1000 to EU students who begin a full-time course at the University in the September 2009 and January 2010. All full-time undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses are taking part in the programme.
Successful applicants will be awarded with a cheque and a certificate to mark their achievement at a Prize-winners Reception. This bursary is not a reduction in fees.
Eligibility criteria
You are eligible to be considered for the European Bursary if
* you are a national of an EU country other than the UK and classed as an EU student for fees purposes
* you can meet the course entry requirements as specified in your offer
* you have accepted your offer of a place on your chosen course starting in September 2009 or January 2010
* you can demonstrate in your personal statement (as part of the scholarship application) how the award of this scholarship will benefit you
The Scholarships Panel will consider the quality of the personal statement alongside academic achievement when allocating bursaries. The Panel will be held after the closing date and applicants will be notified approximately one month after the closing date using the contact details provided on their application form. The decision of the Panel is final.
* Please note - the IELTS requirement for your chosen course may be higher
