Katie and William Pennington Endowed Scholarship : Must be a U.S. citizen with preference given to students who demonstrate financial need. This scholarship is for the purpose of increasing the level of diversity at AU; therefore, recipients shall be from underrepresented groups identified by AU's Office of Enrollment Services.
Criteria for General Scholarships include but are not limited to geography, class standing, academics, financial need, and/or affiliation with a particular organization. General Scholarships are awarded for one year with award amounts varying from $500 to tuition (2/3 tuition for non-residents). Approximately 50% of General Scholarships give preference to incoming freshmen, and approximately 50% of them give preference to students who demonstrate financial need.
