One of the most respected massage therapy schools in the world, the National Holistic Institute has been teaching massage therapy since 1979. We have always been recognized as a leader in the field. Our founder, Carol Carpenter, won several awards and recognitions from the oldest organization of massage therapists.
We were the first massage school in California to be nationally accredited. We were also the first massage therapy school in California to offer federal financial aid for our massage courses. We've developed a widely respected curriculum and teachers are often consulted by leaders throughout the field of massage therapy. We were even recognized in the book, "The History of Massage."
More importantly, however, we enjoy helping people have work they love. In fact, that is our mission statement. We are here to help you succeed. For over three decades, we have learned how to teach massage therapy so that you can be successful. We have great people to help you, excellent curriculum, warm and welcoming massage training facilities, and a network of graduates and supporters in the industry to help you have work you love.

Massage Therapy School - Accreditation
Accreditation
We are accredited by an agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education which allows us to offer federal financial aid to our students. They regularly review our quality standards both through scheduled and unscheduled visits ensuring our school operates at the highest standard. We also have a number of other approvals, licenses, and official relationships.

You can afford to go to NHI! Our Financial Planning department has a team of dedicated financial aid counselors ready to help you through the application process and find a plan that works for you. There are many options out there and your counselor will make sure you take advantage of all that is available to you.
NHI participates in various federal student financial assistance programs. In fact, NHI is one of only a few school of massage therapy that qualify for Federal Financial Aid programs, including:

Most financial aid is NOT based on personal credit.
All federal financial aid is awarded on the basis of need, regardless of sex, age, race, color, religion, creed, or national origin. Most of our students are able to pay off their entire tuition prior to graduating through grants, loans, discounted payment options and on-campus employment opportunities. Since every student's situation is unique, we customize a financial plan to fit your needs.
