Descrierea universitatii (pe baza site-ului oficial)
UniSA is the largest university in South Australia, with 36,156 students, 2396 staff, five campuses (four in Adelaide and one in Whyalla) and an annual revenue in excess of $457 million. As the leading provider of international education in the state we also are a significant contributor to South Australia's economic growth and prosperity.
We are committed to educating professionals, creating and applying knowledge, engaging our communities, maintaining cultural diversity among our staff and students, and providing equitable access to education.
We also have been long recognised for our links with industry and in 2008 were awarded the inaugural Ashley Goldsworthy Award for sustained collaboration between business and higher education by the Business/Higher Education Round Table (BHERT).
Our approach to teaching and learning is student-centred, focused on higher education outcomes and delivered through flexible program arrangements. We recently reviewed all of our programs to ensure their relevance and currency.
At the same time we have increased our research profile and performance, as evidenced by a 50 per cent increase in research income over the past two years. Our focus is on supporting strategic and collaborative research in multidisciplinary teams and on the commercialisation of intellectual property.
Vision
UniSA will be a leading contributor to Australia having the best higher education system in the world, supporting the world’s best educated and most innovative, cohesive and sustainable society.
Mission
UniSA educates professionals and citizens to the highest standards; creates and disseminates knowledge; and engages with our communities to address the major issues of our time.
